TALENT AWARDS

• Each contestant will be ranked as Bronze, Silver, or Gold and receive a medallion reflecting the appropriate level.
• All contestants will receive an invitation to compete in our World Competition in February.
• All Gold winners in each age division will be placed as either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place and receive and additional award.
• All Gold winners will receive one free entry into the World Talent Competition.

TALENT CATEGORY BREAKDOWN

• Entries have a maximum time limit of 2 minutes per entry. 
  • We will not cut music or simply turn it down at the two-minute mark so be sure it is cut so that it does not exceed 2 minutes.
• Up to three entries are permitted per category.
• Music must be emailed by August 1st as an attachment to Amber@ubuproductions.org or submitted to her email via any submission platform. Please make sure you grant permission for her to download or open your music.

• If you are playing an instrument, you are responsible for bringing your own instrument.
• More information will be sent in the participant handbook once the deadline date has passed.
• Participants may also participate in the NYFW and model for amazing designers.

USA MODEL AREAS OF COMPETITION

• Go See Wear - solid black or white tank top shirt, pants, and shoes of choice
• Runway Carpet Wear - couture, dramatic, and expressive
• Red-Carpet Wear - Oscar or Emmy event/style
• Photogenic - professional photo size 4" x 6" up to 8" x 10"
• Please put your name and age division on the back of your photo

 

MODEL CATEGORY BREAKDOWN

• Wardrobe should be family-friendly and age appropriate.
• Models will model in each area of competition for Round 1. During the awards show, referred to as Round 2 of Competition, models will wear their Red-Carpet Wear and model it again. 
• Participants may also participate in the NYFW and model for amazing designers. 

 

USA MODEL AWARDS

• All models will receive either a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Rating.
• The highest scoring model in each age division will receive:

ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL COMPETITIONS

• Photogenic ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Photos must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
• Portfolio ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Portfolios must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
  • Portfolios should not have more than 20 photos in them.
  • A black portfolio book is preferred for photos.
• Headshot ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Headshots must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
• LIVE Photoshoot ($125, maximum of 1 entry)
  • Our staff will schedule your photoshoot.
  • Attire is outfit of choice
  • Our photographer will select winners.
  • Models must be able to follow directions from the photographer.
  • Outfit must be age appropriate and of good taste.
• Comp Card ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Card should be approximately 8.5” x 5.5” and on card stock paper.
  • What should be on your comp card? One to four pictures and a mixture of poses, natural head shot and the following measurements: Height, weight, bust, hips, shoe size, dress size, hair and eye color. It should also have your name, address, and phone number. 
• Art (unlimited entries) 
  • Artwork must be original and no larger than 24” tall or wide.
  • Artwork must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on it.
