Participants have the chance to win exciting awards and cash prizes while showcasing their talents in front of scouts from top talent agencies. Outstanding performers may even receive callbacks or invitations to join professional agencies, opening doors to pursue their dreams of becoming actors, songwriters, or performers.

TALENT AWARDS

• Each contestant receiving a minimum score of 70% and up will be ranked as follows
  • 70% - 79% Bronze
  • 80% to 89% Silver
  • 90% to 100% Gold
• Participants with a Gold Ranking will then be placed in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.
• The highest gold scoring contestant will receive:
  • Cash Prize
  • A beautiful custom sash and crown
  • Featured on our UBU website
  • Featured on our UBU social sites
  • Official UBU branding products
  • Special awards, recognition, or gifts from sponsors

TALENT CATEGORY BREAKDOWN

• Talent entry fee is $75 per entry
• Entries have a maximum time limit of 2 minutes per entry. 
  • We will not cut music or simply turn it down at the two-minute mark so be sure it is cut so that it does not exceed 2 minutes.
• Up to three entries are permitted per category.
• Music must be emailed by August 1st as an attachment to Amber@ubuproductions.org or submitted to her email via any submission platform. Please make sure you grant permission for her to download or open your music.
• If you are playing an instrument, you are responsible for bringing your own instrument and any necessary accessories needed to operate that instrument.
• More information will be sent in the participant handbook once the deadline date has passed.
• Participants are divided into two groups: elementary to high school students, adults, out of high school, any age. Participants are being solely judged against themselves and not compared to others.
• Participants may also walk on one of our prestige runways and model for amazing designers. 
• National Talent entry fees are due upon registering or no later than August 1.

MODEL 411

Participants have the chance to win exciting awards and cash prizes, as well as the unique opportunity to walk on a national runway, showcasing their talent in front of scouts from top modeling agencies. To stand out, models should demonstrate strong communication and modeling skills, along with active involvement in a community service project of their choice. Exceptional participants may even receive callbacks or offers to join prestigious agencies, bringing them closer to their dream of becoming professional models.

 

This is a modeling competition, not a pageant. It operates independently of any pageant systems, making it open to everyone who wishes to participate. However, we will award a crown and sash as part of our winner's prize packages in recognition of their achievements.

 

MODEL AGE DIVISIONS (determined on the date of this competition)

• Ambassador, ages 6 - 9
• Preteen, ages 10 - 12
• Junior Teen, ages 13 - 15
• Teen, ages 16 - 18
• Miss, ages 18 - 34, married, single, widowed, divorced
• Ms., ages 35 and up, married, single, widowed, divorced
• Mrs., ages 21 and up, must be married

 

MODEL AREAS OF COMPETITION

• Go See Wear - any plain shirt, jeans, and shoes of choice
• Runway Wear - couture, dramatic, Oscar, or Emmy event/style outfit of choice
• Photogenic - professional photo size 4" x 6" up to 8" x 10"
  • Please put your name and age division on the back of your photo

MODEL CATEGORY BREAKDOWN

• Wardrobe should be family-friendly and age appropriate.
• Participants will compete in each category in a preliminary competition.
• During the awards show, all models earning a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award will be recognized.
• All Gold Models will model their Runway Wear, and then the overall Gold Model will be crowned.

• Participants may also participate in our UBU Runway Showcases and model for amazing designers. 
• National Model entry fee is $199 and due upon registering or no later than August 1.

ADDITIONAL MINI OPTIONAL COMPETITIONS

• Photogenic ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Photos must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
• Portfolio ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Portfolios must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
  • Portfolios should not have more than 20 photos in them.
  • A black portfolio book is preferred for photos.
• Headshot ($150 per entry, one photo; $250 two photos)
  • Headshots must be turned in at registration and have your age division and name on them.
• Comp Card ($50 per entry, unlimited entries)
  • Card should be approximately 8.5” x 5.5” and on card stock paper.
  • What should be on your comp card? One to four pictures and a mixture of poses, natural head shot and the following measurements: Height, weight, bust, hips, shoe size, dress size, hair and eye color. It should also have your name, address, and phone number. 
• Print Model Photo Shoot ($150 for first entry, or get two entries for $225) 
  • Our staff will schedule your photoshoot.
  • Attire is outfit of choice
  • Our photographer will select winners.
  • Models must be able to follow directions from the photographer.
  • Outfit must be age appropriate and of good taste.
